About the Cottage

Petit Amour (French for Small Love) is an intimate cottage, allowing for privacy and discretion.

A lovers retreat - the cottage has become a preferred choice for a romantic escape as it is laden with warmth and atmosphere featuring open fire place, central heating, double spa bath and double shower.

Situated within walking distance of cosmopolitan Mornington the cottage has two bedrooms , is fully self contained/self catering, breakfast provisions are supplied for up to 3 mornings. There is a large front patio overlooking the garden, a shed to store the bikes or golf clubs and undercover car port suitable for a large four wheel drive.

There are two individually decorated bedrooms both with fitted robes giving plenty of hanging space. Both rooms have Queen Size beds, and the luxury of bathrobes and Egyptian Cotton sheeting.

The Violin Room - featuring a passionate orange wall and violin mounted above the bed. The room offers french doors that open to the garden.

The Degas Room - soft and romantic features an oil print of the 'Dancing Room' by Edgar Degas.

A quiet haven and retreat, the cottage brings a feeling of timeless quality with antique furnishings, prints of the masters and a colour scheme that reflects the images of French provincial and provocative Paris.

Petit Amour's accommodation is just perfect for a romantic getaway for two and also well suited for a lengthy escape and two couples travelling together.

With a private garden the entire cottage is yours for the duration of your stay. You won't share it with anyone else. The beautiful Liquid Amber tree in the front garden provides plenty of shade in summer for enjoying fish & chips, a BBQ or just cheese and biscuits with a glass of local wine. 

When hot summer days give way to winter chills the cottage responds with the lure of a wood open fire place where you can curl up with a book or open a good bottle of red for a cosy night in.

Petit Amour embraces envionmentally friendly practices: we use environmentally friendly products, energy efficient lighting and hot water, water minimisation with spa bath draining direct to the garden in times of dry conditions, grey water from the washing machine being used on the garden. We practice waste minimisation and encourage you to recycle.

Petit Amour Cottage is located in Mornington and is walking distance to Main Street, where you can gain retail therapy, savour your latte or sip a glass of 'chardy'. For the wine lovers the cottage is easy access to around 70 cellar doors and 7 of these are within 10-15 minutes drive of the cottage.

• The cottage is non-smoking, has polished floors and pets are not permitted.
   
• Petit Amour accommodation is not suitable for children but we are happy to recommend accommodation that is.
