Accommodation Terms & Conditions

 

Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. It is the clients’ responsibility to read all terms and conditions of their booking.


Booking Conditions


1. All bookings must be confirmed with credit card details & a minimum of 50% deposit on booking. Payments can be made by MasterCard, Visa, Diners Club and American Express. (Amex and Diners incur a service fee). Cash and direct deposit available once credit card details are provided. Guests are required to present a valid credit card on arrival details of which will be held by management as security on the cottage. Failure to provide credit card details will require a $500.00 bond refundable on departure.


2. Prices quoted are subject to variation without notice.


3. Standard check-in time is between 3.00pm and 5.00pm. Other times by mutual arrangement and subject to availability, arrangements must be made at least 24 hours prior to arrival. Check-out is 11.00am on day of departure to allow us to prepare for the next guests. Late check out not by mutual arrangements will incur additional charges by the hour or part of.


4. A couple is deemed as two (2) guests using one bedroom. Number of guests should not exceed the number stated on the confirmation or subsequently agreed in writing or email. Management reserves the right to charge an additional fee of $90.00 per night for use of the 2nd bedroom/bedding during the stay without prior arrangement.


To maintain our standards for all guests we require that certain conditions be complied with. We appreciate most will respect our property but the occasional abuse requires that we state the following conditions, your assistance in these matters ensures our ability to prepare/maintain the cottage in a timely manner:-

 

1. To ensure the property is left in a similar state to its condition on arrival. It is anticipated the cottage will be clean and tidy, in an acceptable state of repair, with all dishes washed/dried and put away, stove and bench tops clean, rubbish placed in outside bins. Credit card details are kept with your reservation, management will automatically debit any amounts outstanding for: - extra charges for cleaning, extra guest staying, extra bedrooms/bedding being used, purchases or charges incurred as a result of damage, theft, or loss.


2. The property is situated in a quiet residential area and in the interests of our neighbours; your booking is accepted on the express condition that there is no disturbance after 10 pm. Parties and functions are strictly prohibited. The tariff charged is for domestic use only and for the use of our paying guests. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in the terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in additional payments.
 
3. If any key, lock, security device or other goods belonging to the property is lost, or damaged payment to repair/replace the item is the responsibility of the guest. Management will debit the credit card that was given to initially secure the booking.


4. Loss- the owners take no responsibility for the guest’s personal property.
 
5. Please be advised that NO SMOKING is permitted indoors. Smoking is permitted outdoors only. For those who still find it necessary to smoke indoors (which is very obvious to non-smokers even in winter when the fire has been used) additional cleaning charges will be incurred for the dry cleaning/laundering of soft furnishings. I.e. curtains, rug, cushions, lounge, bedding etc.

 

6. Avoid the use of massage oils on the bedding, these products do stain and are impossible to remove. Damage to linen will incur replacement charges.

 

7. Should you use the BBQ to avoid cleaning charges ensure it cleaned prior to departure.


 

Package Component/ Voucher /Gift Certificate Policy
1. Package Component/Voucher (i.e. Wine Tour, Dinner, Massage etc) are subject to availability and must be redeemed with completion of a stay and prior to expiry date.
 
2. Management will make every attempt to book package components at the times requested, management reserves the right to schedule alternate times should it be necessary.

3. Package component/ vouchers will NOT be sent in the mail.


4. To avoid disappointment, we recommend booking packages at least 8 weeks in advance.


5. Package Components/Vouchers are not available at Christmas, New Years, Easter and Public Holidays.
 
6. Package components/vouchers are quoted in Australian dollars.
 
7. Only original package components/vouchers signed and validated can be redeemed.
 
8. If cancellation occurs no refund or credit will be given on package components.
 
9. Validity of package components/vouchers cannot be extended.
 
10. Package component/vouchers will not be issued until full payment is received.
 
11. In the event that the product or service named in the package component/voucher is no longer available in the same format or at all, management reserves the right to substitute the product or service for a similar product or service to the same value as the original voucher.
 
12. Petit Amour accepts no responsibility for personal injuries/accidents, or loss of belongings, while using the services of a third party.


13. GIFT CERTIFICATE expiry date cannot be extended under any circumstances. Refunds will not be given. It is the responsibility of the recipient to book well in advance to secure the reservation prior to expiry date.
 

Cancellation Policy
Applies with confirmation of reservation and applies if cancellation is caused by the client:


1. Reservations cancelled outside 14 Days of arrival will attract 30% cancellation fee. 
 
2. Reservations cancelled between 14 – 8 days of arrival will attract 50% cancellation fee.
 
3. Reservations cancelled or postponed within 7 days or 'No Show' will result in 100% of booking fee  being debited to the credit card given at time of reservation, minus any deposit already paid to Petit Amour. (Subject to the owner being able to re-book the entire period concerned, where applicable a refund, less $50 administration fee, will be sent by cheque or refunded to the card after final booking date.)
 
4. During Peak Periods cancellations or postponements will result in the full amount payable being debited to the credit card given at time of reservation, minus any deposit already paid to Petit Amour. (Subject to the owner being able to re-book the entire period concerned, where applicable a refund, less $50 administration fee, will be by cheque or refunded to the card after final booking date.)
 
5. Reservations made as a result of a prize/donation cannot be postponed for another date. Cancellation will result in loss of eligibility and will attract a 50% administration fee of the full value of the prize/donation. Additional components the above policies apply.


6. Reservations made through a booking agency will upon cancellation attract said booking agencies administration fee in addition to Petit Amour fees & charges.


7. Reservations made as a result of Gift Certificate cannot be postponed beyond expiry date, cancellation policy applies.


8. Reservations made as a result of any discount facility can not be postponed. Cancellation or 'No Show' will result in full amount due. No refunds given.

 

9. We do not accept any liability to refund monies due to CFA 'Catastrophic Fire Danger Ratings' within the Mornington Peninsula region. In the event that legal authorities have closed all access roads to Mornington and/or issued explicit advice not to visit the region then we would postpone your reservation to a mutually agreed date within 6 months from the date of the original reservation.


Damaged or Missing Property
In the event that any property is damaged maliciously, or beyond normal wear and tear, or in the event that property belonging to Petit Amour is lost or taken during the course of booking, management reserves the right to charge the reasonable cost for repair or replacement of that property to the guest, and in that regard, the guest acknowledges that the charge may be debited from the credit card or charge facility used for payment of the booking.


Lost property is held for a term of 3 months. It is the responsibility of the guest to contact Petit Amour management to claim lost property. On request lost property will be returned COD via Australia Post.

 

General Provisions: Management reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time, it is the guests responsibility to check this web site for possible changes prior to commencement of your stay.

 

In this ‘conditions of stay’ the terms ‘Property’ and ‘Cottage’  means the property known as Petit Amour Cottage located at 21b York Street Mornington and all other personal property within or on the property.
