Do I share the cottage with other guests?

No, the cottage takes one booking at a time. When you book you do not share with anyone other than those in your own party.?

Can I book one night??

No sorry. A single night booking will only be considered as a last minute. Petit Amour is very special, it is a two bedroom cottage or small house; we believe you will gain maximum benefit and appreciation from your stay at Petit Amour by staying a minimum of two nights.?

Is the cottage two bedrooms or one?

Petit Amour Cottage has two bedrooms, (The Violin Room and the Degas Room) tariffs are indicative of the use of one bedroom. Should you require the use of the second bedroom extra tariffs will apply?

Do you have more than one cottage?

No sorry there is but one Petit Amour Cottage.

Do I need to bring cooking equipment?

No. The kitchen is fully equipped with saucepans, bowls, platters, dinner set cutlery etc. We believe we have thought of everything including a knife block, oh! There is even a picnic basket, rug and chiller bag.

Do I need to bring my own tea/coffee/sugar etc.

No. We provide the essentials on arrival; including plunger coffee a variety of specialty teas, spreads, sauces and food wraps even a few herbs for the morning eggs.

Do I need to bring my own linen?

No. All linen is supplied including beach towels.

Is there a dish washer and microwave?

Yes. All mod cons including a 4 burner gas stove, grill and oven.

Is there a washing machine and dryer?

Yes. Plus we provide a small amount of detergent for your convenience.

Is there a CD player?

Yes. With a Docking Station for your MP3 player, Plus a small selection of approx 12 CD's for your enjoyment.

Is there a DVD Player?

Yes. Plus a small library of approx 20 DVD's for your enjoyment,a selection of classics, drama, comedy, romance and action.  

What size is the Television?

 The TV is 80cm HD/LCD

Is the cottage heated?

Yes. Petit Amour has gas central heating, and a real open fire place, providing a perfect retreat in winter.

Does the cottage have cooling?

Yes. The living room has a reverse cycle air conditioner, plus each bedroom has ceiling fans.

Do the beds have electric blankets?

Yes. Plus both beds have doonas and cotton sheeting.

Is the spa bath large enough for two people?

Yes. Plus we provide the bath salts, bubble bath, queen size bath towels and cotton gowns.

Is the shower over the spa? Do I need to climb into the spa to have a shower?

No. The shower is separate from the spa; it is large enough for two people to share and we have installed water saving double shower heads.

Is there a BBQ?

Yes. There is a gas BBQ in the rear garden. Plus we provide BBQ tools and apron.

Does the cottage have a garden area?

Yes. The front patio overlooks the garden; here you can relax under the shade of the Liquid Amber tree and listen to the birds play. The rear garden is private and quaint. Here you can enjoy a BBQ.

Is there internet access or telephone?

No. The cottage is designed for romantic escapes; our guests appreciate not having these distractions.

Is there off street parking?

Yes, undercover off street parking suitable for a large 4WD. You are welcome to close the gates and retreat from the world. Street parking is available with no parking restrictions.

Is the cottage serviced?

No. The cottage is self contained; we value your privacy and try to minimise any disturbance. In doing so the cottage is not serviced during your stay. For your convenience we provide extra linen and basic cleaning products, for longer stays.

Can I walk to Mornington to go out for dinner?

Yes. Petit Amour Cottage is approx 5 minutes walk to Main Street with its strip shopping, cafes', restaurants and night life.

How close are you to the beach?

Petit Amour Cottage is approx 15 minutes walk to the beach. Mornington has a number of safe bathing beaches.

How far are you from the wine touring region?

Petit Amour is located in Mornington approx 15mins drive from the main wine touring region.

How far are you from Peninsula Hot Springs?

We are approx 20minutes drive to Peninsula Hot Springs.

How far are you from Sorrento? Where the Queenscliff Ferry Berths?

We are approx 40minutes drive from Sorrento.

How frequent is the ferry from Queenscliff to Sorrento?

It leaves every hour on the hour and is about an hour's journey.

How far are you from Philip Island?

We are approx 1 ½ hrs drive from the Island.

How far are you from Melbourne CBD?

Depending on the time you travel, allowing for peak periods. We are approx 1 hour drive along the Monash Freeway, then onto the East Link to Frankston then onto the Nepean Hwy to Mornington.

Do I need a car to get to the Mornington Peninsula?

No. If you don't mind public transport there is train from Melbourne CBD it stops at Frankston. From there you board a bus to gain access to Mornington. There is a bus stop at the end of our street. We have had guests take this journey and enjoyed the experience.

Do I need my a car to get around the Peninsula?

Yes. Public transport does not travel to the tourist destinations?

What is there to do on the Peninsula?

There are over 80 plus cellar doors, 32 golf courses, bush walking, safe beaches, snorkelling, scuba diving, fishing, sailing, horse riding, art galleries, and an abundance of fine restaurants, so many exciting things to keep you entertained. Or just stay in doors and sleep in, we won't disturb you!
